The Hague
During the Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014, The Hague will be the hockey capital of the world.
The Kyocera Stadium, home base of soccer club ADO Den Haag, will be the heart of all activities. At walking distance you will reach the temporary second match-venue, the GreenFields Stadium. Besides the match venues, there will be a lot of entertainment in the Hockey Park! There will be a variety of live-music performances, culinary tastings and an abundance of events and hockey activities for the children.
Kyocera Stadium
The modern Kyocera Stadium, officially put into use in 2007, offers seats for 15.000 spectators. Thanks to its unique architecture the seats are covered and close to the field. In addition the building offers extensive possibilities for hospitality in for example the Business Lounges and VIP-boxes.
GreenFields Stadium
At walking distance of the Kyocera Stadium there will be a temporary second stadium, the GreenFields Stadium. This venue offers all facilities such as changing rooms including showers and offices for officials and the organisation. The temporary artificial grass field in the GreenFields Stadium is identical to the field in the main stadium. This stadium has a capacity of 5.000 people, 1.000 seats in the stands are covered.
During the tournament both stadiums offer match coverages on large video screens.
Location
The Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014 has excellent accessibility. The tournament location is situated at the Forepark near the A12. This business park is situated at the Leidschendam-side of the Prins Claus roundabout, the interchange of motorways to Amsterdam, Utrecht and Rotterdam. The Rotterdam/The Hague Airport only takes a fifteen minutes’ ride, Schiphol only thirty minutes. There is plenty of parking space around the stadiums. A parking card should be ordered separately.
The Kyocera Stadium and the GreenFields Stadium can be reached by public transportation using the Randstadrail (stop Forepark) and the train (station Ypenburg).
