The Embassy Tournament will take place on May 29 at two different locations: hockey club Craeyenhout and HC Klein Zwitserland. The event will start off in the morning with a special tournament for children at Craeyenhout. The young players will be divided up into different countries and learn more about the countries they are representing before playing against each other. In the afternoon, everyone will head for Klein Zwitserland where teams based around the different embassies – supplemented by expats - will take part in their own competition.
Politicians versus the world
The last event is a match between a team of national Dutch politicians and a rainbow team featuring an international mix of embassy players. Some 2,000 embassy staff, EU officials and international organisations are expected to attend and the day will end with a barbecue and drinks party. The proceeds of the day will go the charity Save the Children.
