The biggest beach hockey festival in the world will take place on the magnificent North Sea beach at Scheveningen between June 12 and June 14.
Three tournaments will take place at The Hague Beach Stadium – a World Cup event, one for top national teams and one for recreational players. The facilities include five beach hockey pitches and room for 2,000 supporters plus a party tent, music and, of course, plenty of sand and sun. The competition is open to local and international teams.
Hockey in 3D
A beach hockey team is made up of five players and a match lasts 2x10 minutes. Beach hockey players use a bigger and lighter ‘panna’ ball. The difficult playing surface adds a new dimension to the game and provides a real test of the players’ individual skills and teamwork. The ball is in the air for much of the game – creating spectacular airborne tackles and dribbles and acrobatic displays from the keepers. On average there are 30 shots at goal in a beach hockey match, so plenty of action is guaranteed.
Registration
