Argentina vs South Africa - Men 10 June 2014

"1st Half, and straight after kick off Argentina nearly took the lead when Mazzilli made a great run into the D and unleashed his shot towards goal but this went over the bar. Soon after the goal came, and it was a mistake by South Africa's defence and goalkeeper when along ball came through from the Argentinian defence and Joaquin Menini was on hand to capitalise on the South African mistake. Argentina, in control of the game, doubled their lead soon after when the top goal scorer Gonzalo Peillat was handed a Penalty Corner and although he couldn't find a way to convert his drag-flick, a scramble in the D enabled Peillat to receive the ball again and he made sure to make it count. It was 2-0 Argentina at the break. 2nd Half, and Argentina started the half as the ended it when Lucas Villa got his name on the score sheet, producing a good finish. However South Africa did get a consolation goal, producing one of the goals of the tournament when Clinton Panther executed some fantastic skill to dribble the ball round the Argentinian defenders and slide the ball through the keeper and into the corner of the net. Great goal but it wasn't enough to start a comeback and this was all over when Lucas Villa produced some brilliant skill to work his way into the D and unleash a fierce shot, ending the game 5-1, putting Argentina into the Semi-Finals of the Hockey World Cup.
