Germany was on the front foot in the first half and created most of the chances and they definitely made them count. They took the lead in the 27 minutes when they were awarded a Penalty Stroke and Zeller made sure Germany capitalised on this opportunity. Germany continued to dominate in the game but South Africa keeper Johnathan Robinson made a fantastic save to keep his team in it. However Robinson was unlucky for Germany's 2nd goal when Stralkowski shot went through the keeper's legs and at the break it was 2-0 Germany. 2nd half, Germany continued to dominate and not sit back. Germany increased their lead when Mats Grambusch made his way into the D and his shot hit the back of the net making it 3-0. 4 minutes later Germany would seal the win for the team when Christopher Ruhr made a fantastic run into the D and managed to squeeze his shot into the D, and looked like one of the best goals of the tournament but his shot was blocked as went through the wall of South African defenders but Oliver Korn was on hand to tap the ball into the net, sealing the win for Germany.
