Korea vs Argentina - Men 8 June 2014

The second offering from Day 8 of the Rabo Bank Hockey World Cup 2014 saw Korea take on Argentina in Pool B of the competition. Gonzalo Peillat gave Argentina an early lead with a blistering strike from a penalty corner, he later went on the double their lead with an almost identical attack on the Korean goal from another penalty corner, 2-0 after just 7 minutes. Lucas Vila cleaned up a deflection from the keepers boot to secure the 3rd goal for the Lions. Another penalty corner for the Argentinians in the 20th minute saw Peillat complete his hat-trick with an equally impressive finish, 4-0 the score at the break. Scoring in the second half was less frantic with Argentina continuing to impress, Korea had their share of chances but failed to capitalise. It was down to Guillermo Schickendantz to secure the 5th goal with a sublime finish from an Agustin Mazzill cross, 5 unanswered goals for the Lions sees them top Group B with 9 points.
